Privacy Policy

Our Privacy Promise

The Iron Rule: If we don’t know who you are, we can’t sell you out. We operate under Swiss law, which offers some of the strongest privacy protections in the world.

Zero-Tracking Philosophy

Unlike the “Big Brother” websites that harvest your data to build a profile for advertisers and governments, privacy.ch is built on a foundation of non-collection.

  • No Cookies: We do not use tracking cookies, pixel tags, or fingerprinting scripts.
  • No Analytics: We do not use Google Analytics, Matomo, or any other service that logs your IP address, location, or browsing habits.
  • No Third-Party Scripts: All content is served directly from our servers. We do not load external libraries that could leak your data.

Data Collection (Minimal)

We collect only the data you explicitly choose to give us:

  • Contact Forms: If you email us, we store your message and email address solely to reply to you. We do not sell or share this data. We delete it when the conversation is concluded.
  • Newsletter: If you subscribe to our newsletter (hosted via a privacy-respecting provider), we store your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time with a single click. We never share our list.

Server Logs

Like any web server, our hosting provider may generate temporary logs for security and troubleshooting. However, these logs are configured to expire automatically after 24 hours and do not include persistent user identifiers. We do not retain IP addresses.

Swiss Jurisdiction

This website is hosted on servers located in Switzerland, governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/NDSG). Swiss law is notoriously strict regarding data privacy and does not automatically comply with foreign data requests (such as US warrants) without rigorous judicial review.

Your Rights

Under Swiss and EU (GDPR) standards, you have the right to:

  • Request access to any data we hold about you.
  • Request the deletion of your data.
  • Opt-out of any communication immediately.

To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. Be warned: If you ask us to delete your data, we will. But if you have never given us any, there is nothing to delete.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy as technology evolves. However, our core commitment to your anonymity remains unchanged. Check this page periodically, but rest assured: we will never betray your trust for a quick buck.
